Coronavirus Prevention Socialization Given to Rawa Bunga Residents

Hundreds residents of Rawa Bunga Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta were educated about coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This event was held from collaboration between local urban village and health center (puskesmas).

We expect the participants to inform other residents about this socialization

Participants were not only socialized about the virus, but also encouraged to do simulation of proper hand washing.

Rawa Bunga Urban Village Head, Agustina mentioned, there were 150 participants from RT/RW administration, LMK, PKK Cadres, FKDM, and Karang Taruna (youths).

"We want people to stay calm thus their immune can be enhanced. We expect the participants to inform other residents about this socialization," she conveyed, Tueday (3/10).

Moreover, her side also provided hand sanitizer at urban village office and RPTRA.

Rawa Bunga Puskesmas Head, Susi Dianty stated, material given to the participants through this socialization is about coronavirus prevention and handling.

"Make sure to wash your hands before touching mouth or nose, especially after touching object contaminated with corona sufferer's saliva since it is potential to transmit the disease. This virus is more dangerous for elderly people, pregnant women, sick people, and people with poor immune system," she mentioned.

According to her, it is quite simple and easy to prevent the disease. For example by implementing clean and healthy lifestyle, washing hand using running water and antiseptic soap.

Besides, it is also important to cover mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing, wear mask when feeling sick, coughing, or flu, and reduce outdoor activities.

"People also need to consume nutritious foods," she added.
